A major service the Birmingham Business Resource Center offers is helping small businesses secure SBA 504 loans and other types of business financing. The BBRC provides this service thanks to the unique working relationship it has with the Birmingham-based companies of Foundation Capital and Capital Solutions. Both firms are staffed with highly-qualified lending officers with years of experience in dealing with SBA 504 loans. Those who come to the BBRC for an SBA loan will likely work with lending officers from Foundation Capital and Capital Solutions.
LaTanya is the BBRC’s senior lending officer and is also an authorized certified development company liquidator. She reviews all loan packages before submitting the loan request to a loan committee for review and approval. She also handles post-loan reviews, loan liquidations and other loan-based issues.
LaTanya has been involved in finance and banking since 1993. Prior to coming to the BBRC in 2003, she held various positions with a Birmingham financial institution. While at the bank, she worked as a management trainee, a commercial loan lending assistant and an assistant vice president.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Jacksonville State University . She’s received several certificates from the American Institute of Banking, and has received awards from various groups for her outstanding work in finance. In 2005, she received the BBRC Director’s Award for her superior job performance.
In her spare time, LaTanya enjoys spending time with family. She’s also done volunteer work for Junior Achievement and United Way .
